Compare with Our Hickory Hardwood Flooring
Trying to decide between Pecan and Hickory? While both are robust, American hardwoods with striking grain patterns, they offer different looks and performance features that may suit your specific design goals and functional needs.
Pecan offers a slightly softer yet still durable surface, with a warm, golden-to-brown color palette and distinctive grain patterns. It’s perfect for those looking for a wood that balances elegance with rugged beauty. Its less intense contrast and grain than Hickory make it more adaptable for a range of interiors, from rustic to contemporary.
Hickory, by contrast, is one of the hardest domestic hardwoods, with dramatic color contrasts and a bold, rustic aesthetic. Its superior toughness and highly variable grain patterns make it a top choice for high-traffic areas and environments where durability is paramount.
Both are exceptional choices, but your decision may depend on whether you’re seeking the warmth and subtle beauty of Pecan, or the bold strength and striking visuals of Hickory.
